Showing the historical development of shoe manufacturing, the museum also displays shoes of famous people like Columbus.The shoe museum is placed in a beautiful renaissance building which used to be the Shoemaker’s guild in the Middle ages.

The new shop is housed in an old headquarters office. They respected the building’s original architecture because its vestige of neoclassical architecture from the 19th century.The interior has a second neutral skin in black and white over the old one, creating a new image without blurring the original, that helps showing H&M collections in the best possible way. The dome and the staircase were restored and emphasised with an aluminum sculpture in the shape of a cone.In addition to the interior and furniture design, Estudio Mariscal was responsible for the lighting and its image and communication.

Custo

The Dalmau brothers, Custo and David, created Custo Barcelona in the early 80’s after a long trip during which they travelled all around the world. Their journey allowed them to discover not only new landscapes but the most varied of artistic, cultural and philosophical expressions.
Amongst the things they found to be most worthy of interest were the typically Californian style they saw on the surfers who lived in the southern part of the state and the psychedelic look they observed in the northern part. The brothers were impressed by the colorful and innovative fashion trends they came across, and in particular the style of the tops and T-shirts which didn’t exist in Spain in those days.

Using the above as a starting point, the brand was launched under the name “Custo Line”.
The Dalmau brothers got to work and learned everything there was to know about printing techniques and finishings, paying special attention to graphic design, a field they felt particularly comfortable with. Through time, their research on the use of color and prints has given risen rise to designs that are innovative, bold and sophisticated.

Later on, all kinds of new garments were introduced to complement Custo Barcelona’s trademark printed tops, like skirts, trousers and coats, thus giving rise to complete collections.
Nowadays it could be said that Custo Barcelona is a style in itself; one that, to a certain extent, embodies a specific lifestyle.

PLACA REIAL

The Placa Reial is one of the most enchanting places in Barcelona. Every tourist will visit this square, be sure you do! It was erected in mid of the 19th Century, it has a fine arcade, palm trees and lamps designed by Gaudi. It is an interesting square ideal to relax and enjoy a coffee in one of the many cafes. On Sunday mornings there is a stamp and coin market and in the evening this is a nice place to have a drink.

FREDERIC MARES MUSEUM

Frederic Marès, the founder of this museum was a sculptor, historian, and a teacher. Its heterogeneous collection includes the most important gathering of Hispanic sculpture from the twelfth to the nineteenth centuries in Spain. We appreciate this museum because of its inside courtyard, fresh and perfect for having a break while visiting the Gothic area of Barcelona!

Basque tapas bar, quite authentic. You can help yourself at the bar, where the tapas are arranged. There is a big variety of cold and warm tapas you can choose from. You have to pay according to the number of toothpicks, which you can find inside your tapas; 1.30 € per toothpick.
The bar is open daily until 0.30 h and on Fridays and Saturdays until 01.00 h. You should consider, however, not to come too late, as the variety of food shrinks and the warm tapas become cold.

Sidecar can be found on Plaza Real, one of Barcelona’s most hectic locations. How surprising, then, that it also yields a music venue with such a distinguished record for eclecticism.

As if the floral-against-black prints and loads of tuxedo jackets weren’t indication enough, the ‘80s are back in full force. Right in frame, Blondie is one of the newest spots in Barcelona’s nightlife and is run by tour de force DJ Tres Manos, known for having graced nearly every single club and bar in town with his house skills.

Retro neon-lights with checkered black-and-white walls nail the point home that this place is all about being a material girl, while the cozy atmosphere is only threatened on Friday nights when the iPod Battle takes place.

DOSHABURI -　means torrential rain that purifies the soul. That is the concept of our shop. Just as over time, land and people are effected or sculpted by water, so too our jeans. The jean fabric that has a "worn look" in Japanese also means DOSHABURI.

The shop is part of a restored 14th century palace in the Gothic area (medieval town). This is the area renound in Barcelona for its richness of culture and european atomosphere. Situated near the Mediterranean sea you find yourself in an intriguing labｙrinth of cafes, museums and shops. Around the next corner is always a surprize, like the corridores of a castle, so different from the hustle and bustle of the outside city. It is down one of those little streets you will find our shop, a sanctuary away from the chaos of modern life, although well connected by modern transport.

They have an eye for selection of clothing that have an accent on individualism, mixed with well known, and up and coming brands. We are cosmopolitan Japanese that have lived in the United States and Europe. Our "cross pollination" of tastes and experiences gives a unique touch to our shop.

Museu Picasso

The Picasso Museum in Barcelona is a key reference for understanding the formative years of Pablo Ruiz Picasso.
