The new shop is housed in an old headquarters office. They respected the building’s original architecture because its vestige of neoclassical architecture from the 19th century.The interior has a second neutral skin in black and white over the old one, creating a new image without blurring the original, that helps showing H&M collections in the best possible way. The dome and the staircase were restored and emphasised with an aluminum sculpture in the shape of a cone.In addition to the interior and furniture design, Estudio Mariscal was responsible for the lighting and its image and communication.

Desigual 'showroom' store

We have opened a new shop-showroom in Barcelona, ​​on Carrer Casp 33, in the old neighborhood where all the textile wholesalers where located. But this is not a plain store, is a space where you can live the Desigual experience, enter in our world and meet our spirit.
We want to pamper you in our new home. To begin with it, there are no clerks here but personal-shoppers, who have studied our collections inside out and will assist you in your purchase. In this new space, garments are ordered in a different way, all coats, shirts, dresses, trousers are all together and there’s only one garment per size. It’s a huge showroom – 1200 models! – with our full collection and very well-arranged, at your disposal, in 25 different areas.
We’ll host regularly mini-catwalks like the Haute Couture ones, with the numbered items and only for a small audience. You can also come to see the new collections, which will be here before anywhere else. This is part of the new personalized experience.
The House of “Life is Cool” have a very, very special deco. I could tell you a thousand words about the Turkish carpets, the vintage chest of drawers, the lamps-telephone, the clothes hanging from ropes and ladders, but I advise you to take a look at the pictures at the end of the post, because this is something that can not be explained in words. Custo

The Dalmau brothers, Custo and David, created Custo Barcelona in the early 80’s after a long trip during which they travelled all around the world. Their journey allowed them to discover not only new landscapes but the most varied of artistic, cultural and philosophical expressions.
Amongst the things they found to be most worthy of interest were the typically Californian style they saw on the surfers who lived in the southern part of the state and the psychedelic look they observed in the northern part. The brothers were impressed by the colorful and innovative fashion trends they came across, and in particular the style of the tops and T-shirts which didn’t exist in Spain in those days.

Using the above as a starting point, the brand was launched under the name “Custo Line”.
The Dalmau brothers got to work and learned everything there was to know about printing techniques and finishings, paying special attention to graphic design, a field they felt particularly comfortable with. Through time, their research on the use of color and prints has given risen rise to designs that are innovative, bold and sophisticated.

Later on, all kinds of new garments were introduced to complement Custo Barcelona’s trademark printed tops, like skirts, trousers and coats, thus giving rise to complete collections.
Nowadays it could be said that Custo Barcelona is a style in itself; one that, to a certain extent, embodies a specific lifestyle.

Freya is a store located right by Placa de la Virreina. It almost looks like a candy store with its enormous choice of artistically ornamented rings, necklaces and bracelets in every color imaginable. The owner, Teresa, is a charming woman. With her flaming red mane, she looks like one of the artists that she seeks out to produce all the jewelry for her little shop. She finds everything with local artists, it’s a young style and it’s not very expensive.  A silver chain with a big red faceted stone is 18 Euros.

“Delicatdressen for guys and dolls” is the upfront motto for this vintage de luxe second-hand designer shop.

A relatively new addition to the Raval district, Le Swing transports its shoppers to a dreamed past of movie stars and dear old kitsch with a nostalgic collection of original antiques from classic names (Chanel, Vuitton, St.Laurent) and new retro-chic clothing from local designers. A few choice pieces of throwback furniture coexist with ‘80s shades and a pair of old yet still crisp roller skates. MUNICH FLAGSHIP STORE

Established by the Berneda family in 1939, Barcelona’s own sports shoe house Munich continues to stay on top of things. In the 1970s, Munich made tracks with the Made in Barcelona footwear line and the X logo.The Munich flagship store was designed by Ignasi Llauradó and Eric Dufourd of dear design, a design and architectural firm the two established in Barcelona in 2005.
Dark-glass surfaces, mirrors, metal trees and cage-like boxes hanging from the ceiling (from which the shoes have “escaped”), all carry a carefree, experimental and impermanent air. The angular and clunky space with its hard edges and seemingly moving parts is clearly an attempt to say that the septuagenarian brand is nowhere near slowing down.

Lurdes Bergada Flagship Store - Barcelona

The clothing brand is all about simple, clean lines and technical ability, and the industrial feel of the store interior echoes this beautifully. Lurdes Bergada and her son, Syngman Cucala, are known for the practicality and high quality of their fashionable clothing for both men and women, sold in their five stores (including two in Madrid) of which the first opened in 1978.
